The Nike Air Jordan Retro 14 is the last sneaker Michael Jordan wore in a Chicago Bulls jersey. The design of the shoe was inspired by Jordan’s Ferrari F355F1 sports car. The original advertisements of the shoe mimicked a car commercial, sighting the Jordan branding on the side, the ventilated midsole, the silver trimmed accessories and the sleek side paneling. The shoe’s silhouette was very similar to that of a Ferrari, boxy and tall in the back while smoothly transition to a lower front end. An interesting feature on the shoe is that there were 7 Jordan Jumpman logos on each sneaker, combining for a total of 14. The shoe released in 1998 and took over as the most expensive Jordan ever at its time of release with a retail cost of $150.
